The girl and the Woolly Mammoth is a project I worked with individual author - Anthony D. Largie.
The story is about a girl who lived in Antarctica, she became best friends with a woolly mammoth. In this adventure, the girl has invited the wooly mammoth on a snow beach vacation with her family. They've been through some contest to learn how to share happiness with each other.

I created 2 options for 2 main characters: the girl and the mammoth.
Option 1 are chosen to be used the whole story.
Working Process
Full storyboard sketching is the very first stage of the process.
I used limited color palette with 2 main tones: orange and blue-purple. The color changes from purple to orange to express how the mood of the story changes from very cold to brighter & warmer. At the end of the story the color turns more orange with more happy & warm atmosphere.
